Mold Inspection
Premier Mold Inspection Services from GreenWorks
For over a decade, GreenWorks has been providing full-scope mold testing, mold protocol and mold clearance inspections all across Texas. Whether you recently had an active water situation inside your property, or are noticing a strong musty smell in certain areas, it is imperative to act fast.
While the mold may not yet be visible, the airborne spores can still create a health concern—and if not treated early, you could begin seeing mold growth on the walls and ceilings. Our full-scope mold solution will help you address the problem, before it gets out of hand!
Where Do I Start if I Suspect Mold?
1- Inspecting & Testing
Identifying The Concern
Mold is a natural part of the environment and is present almost everywhere around us. However, when the conditions inside your property create the ideal environment—like high humidity, dampness, poor ventilation, or water damage—mold can start growing indoors. If you notice musty odors or unusual smells, that could be a sign of mold, and seeing visible mold growth is a clear indicator of a serious issue. If you suspect mold, don’t hesitate to contact us! Our team will gather some initial information to help determine if mold testing is the right course of action. We might recommend air testing, swab samples, or possibly both to identify your mold levels and what types of mold are present.
2- Interpreting The Results
Understanding Your Mold Situation
After one of our certified inspectors collects the appropriate samples, they will be taken to a qualified laboratory for testing. Typically, results are available within 3 business days. Once the results are received, you will get a detailed mold report that includes a list of the types of molds found within the samples, any conducive conditions—like high humidity or water damage—found within the property, and specific recommendations for addressing any identified issues.
At GreenWorks, we understand the importance of communication. That’s why our inspectors are available for consultation via phone or email. If you choose to attend the inspection, they will provide a verbal summary of concerns at the completion of the assessment, ensuring you’re fully informed.

3- Mold Protocol
Creating a Plan
- Industry-recognized
- Licensed consultants
- Reliable solutions
A Mold Protocol is a specific plan of action for mold removal and cleanup. If your property is identified as having an unacceptable type or amount of mold, one of our licensed Mold Assessment Consultants (MAC) will write a mold protocol for your property. This is a required step for all mold remediation projects performed by a licensed mold remediation contractor (MRC) regardless of size/square footage.
4- Use of The Mold Protocol
Why It's Needed Before Remediation
You may be wondering why this additional step is required to be completed before jumping into remediation. Think of the mold protocol as a plan of attack, drawn up by the leaders at the Pentagon—that’s GreenWorks—to be used by those in the field to win the battle—the remediation contractors.
A mold protocol will help the contractors identify the affected areas, the materials that need to be removed, discarded or cleaned, and the methods to be used in each area, for every affected item or material. The protocol will also detail the proper safety measures the contractor will need to take, like the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to wear, and what type of containment should be used.

5- Mold Clearance Inspection
Confirming A Successful Remediation
After the removal and cleanup have been completed — but before any reconstruction begins — our licensed mold consultants will visit your property to conduct a mold clearance inspection. We’ll make sure all removal and cleaning procedures are done correctly and completely. We’ll collect air samples to confirm remediation was successful, and once you receive clearance, you’re well on your way to obtaining your Certificate of Mold Damage Remediation (CDMR).
Plus, we’ll collect air samples to confirm that the remediation was successful. Once we receive the lab results, if everything checks out, you’ll be well on your way to obtaining your Certificate of Mold Damage Remediation (CMDR). This important document not only shows that your home has been successfully remediated from mold, but it’s also handy information for insurance and mortgage companies, or for potential buyers interested in your property.
